Since its establishment in 2019, the BRITACEG, relying on the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Academies (BRITAs), has made active efforts to carry out high-quality knowledge training. On Sep. 15, the BRITACEG rolled out intermediate courses on VAT reform, Tax Disputes Resolution, Digitalization of Tax Administration and Taxpayer Service, and two other e-learning programs on Risk Management and Large Business Management.
Intermediate Courses on VAT reform
The Intermediate Courses on VAT reform introduce the principles and core features of Value-added Tax (VAT) and focus on China’s VAT reform in recent years and the current VAT system in China. From this subject, we hope the trainees can master the basic theory of VAT and know about the reform process of China’s VAT system and experience of VAT administration in China. This subject mainly includes the following sessions: the core features of VAT, the process of China’s VAT reform, the basic VAT regime of China, the VAT credit refund regime in China, China’s import and export tax system, history and management system of VAT invoice in China, introduction to VAT return management in China and China's export tax rebate (exemption) management practice.
Intermediate Courses on Tax Disputes Resolution
The Intermediate Courses on Tax Disputes Resolution focus on the sharing of concepts, mechanisms, and practices related to tax dispute prevention and resolution. This subject introduces Tax Disputes Resolution and presents practices in China - Advanced Pricing Arrangement (APA), the concepts of Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP), the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting Action Plan (BEPS) as well as its Action 14 - Making Dispute Resolution Mechanisms More Effective. Participants are expected to have a better understanding of how tax disputes arise, international and domestic tax dispute prevention and resolution mechanisms, and to improve the ability to solve real-world problems through case learning.
Intermediate Courses on Digitalization of Tax Administration
The Intermediate Courses on Digitalization of Tax Administration aim to help the countries (regions) along the“Belt and Road” improve the level of digitalization of tax administration, enhance the quality and efficiency, and facilitate the convenience of taxpayers in tax administration. It has 7 sessions and gives a panoramic description of the digitalization of tax administration. To help trainees improve their knowledge and skills, it not only introduces the advanced experience of some jurisdictions, but also shares the development experience from STA of China.
The Intermediate Courses on Taxpayer Service
In order to help the countries (regions) along the“Belt and Road” improve their business environment, this subject introduces and presents the construction and optimization of the tax business environment, management and risk of the tax credit, classification and hierarchical management of taxpayer service, protection of taxpayers' rights and interests. To help trainees better understand taxpayer service, we specify the courses as follows: China’s Taxpayer Service, Introduction of the Government Service Evaluation System of Taxation Administration, Application of IT-based Means for Publicity and Guidance and Tax-related Communication and Consultation during the Pandemic Period, Optimizing the Tax Business Environment, Brief Introduction of Large Business Tax Service in Some Countries, and Overview of Tax Service Products for Large Businesses in China.
